One Way We Learn our letters and Sounds
is by using Zoo Phonics in our classroom.
Below are two slide shows to help young children learn their
Version 1
The above link is the First version, a Manual version you need to Click to Advance.
The Positive Feature is the Child MUST press the LEFT button on the mouse, for it to advance.
The Newest Version has Sound Icons for the Letter Sound Clips
The Zoo Phonics Animal Names with the Sound Clips are also included.
Due to it's size, there are 2 parts to it.
Version 2
Click the Seaker Icons to hear the sounds again.
This program will play by itself.
Click Above.
This opens in a separate window....Right arrow to START this slideshow.
Click the X in upper right hand corner of the browser window to close and return here.

Version 3

I have revised the above Power Point slide shows, yet again.
This show will run by itself, but with less sound effects. You are given 2 minutes to
select an icon that will give the letter sounds or give the name of that Zoo
Phonics Animal. Or you can select the largest picture and view an animal video clip.
If nothing is selected it will go to the next letter.
So far it is too big to put on the server through our present web builder.
If you are interested e-mail me and I will make a copy of it for you.
Last version was 111 MB with the video clips included.
So it will have to be burned on a CD or put on a common drive for MPS staff.
It repeats the letter sounds and the animal names with a click of a sound icon.
It will also play a 1-3 minute video clip of an animal for each letter.
Since all the animals do no match all the Zoo Phonics animals we now refer to it as,
