Nelson School is a wonderful place to teach and learn. I am excited about the upcoming year. As a staff we have continued to find new ways to improve instruction especially in writing and math.

WRITING

We we use a writer's workshop format in writing instruction.

MATH

Third graders take addition and subtraction to new levels with double and triple digits as well as applications using story problems.

SCIENCE

Science is such an exciting subject! At Nelson we are fortune to have a science lab where we can do hands on investigations.

Life cycles of plants is our first unit of the year.
